Dear Gina,
Thank you again for assisting my writing storylines in a more organized understanding way. You helped me creatively to see the parts of a puzzle to add ideas to make more sense to follow a story without too much details that could add confusion to the reader.
Gina has tutored my son in math for the past 5 years. I found her because my son’s friend happened to mention his amazing tutor one day. I immediately texted his mom to find out who was getting such high praise from a 5th grader! Gina has lived up to that praise after all these years. She is patient, mellow and kind. My son appreciates her calm approach and that she takes her time to explain concepts to him. He repeatedly tells me that she just says things in a way he can understand. Gina is communicative about the concepts my son needs to work on. She is flexible with scheduling and is honest in telling us if he needs sessions during breaks and summer. We are so thankful to have Gina as a part of our son’s education!
Gina is really good and takes several ways to teach your child how to learn that is custom to their needs.
Miss Gina has helped my daughter tremendously over the many years we worked with her. I would highly recommend working with Miss Gina. She was the first person to help us to explore a potential sensory diagnosis for our daughter as we navigated what tools she would need to succeed in school. Thank you Miss Gina!
Gina has been so helpful with getting my daughter to have a deeper understanding of her assignments during online learning. She has made learning fun and my daughter really loves working with her.
Our family has had a relationship with Gina as our son's tutor for almost 10 years. She started working with him as a second grader and he will graduate next year. We have to attribute his graduation, in part, due to Gina's patience, diligence, and flexibility when working with our son.
Every child is different and responds to a different style of learning. Before Gina even met our son, she spoke with me on the phone for quite a while, just trying to "get to know" my son and his learning style by asking a lot of questions. I believe this really prepared Gina for her first meeting with him.
I asked my son what he really appreciated about Gina as a tutor, and he loves that she can teach a concept in many different ways, so that if one explanation didn't work, she could try another and another until my son was able to understand the concept.
I appreciated how she would communicate with me about how my husband and I could help Cameron at home. Gina is good at communicating how each tutoring session would go, and different things that my son needed to work on. Gina has always been flexible with her scheduling, especially as our son has gotten older and his needs and the times he was available changed.
I highly recommend Gina as a very competent tutor, who is able to tutor effectively in multiple subjects. We are very happy to have gained a friend over these past several years!
Ms. Gina is great tutor. She worked with my son for ~2-3 years. She tailored the teaching sessions based on my son's weak areas. I would recommend her as tutor strongly.
Hi Gina.
My daughter told me to let you know she is done with tutoring. She feels confident enough to finish the school year on her own. I appreciate all the support and tools you have given her
Gina always has a positive attitude, is always willing to accomodate schedule changes and is very good about keeping parents informed of the child’s progress and teaching plan. We have seen good improvement in his reading skills and most of all he is less frustrated when reading.
Gina’s method of teaching reading is logical, quickly helps children become confident readers, and is easy to support at home. (We love the little books she uses!) Her carefully thought-out program builds reading confidence by teaching concepts to mastery while quickly providing real reading ability. I appreciated Gina’s positive approach; by working with Gina for three months, my daughter learned more about reading than she did all year in kindergarten. Gina’s reading program is simply the best any of my children have used.
Dear Gina, I was talking to my daughter, validating her for her ability to read books for pleasure, and she told me she didn’t like reading until you tutored her. She says that she definitely has you to thank for this. I had no idea that the tutoring she got from you handled whatever she had going on with her reading but it did and I wanted to thank you for that. Just thought you’d enjoy hearing about this and the impact you had on her life.
I have a 6 yr old girl just finishing up her kindergarten year. She was having difficulty learning some of her letter sounds and blending them together. She started tutoring with Gina and has made tremendous progress! Gina used a very simple and effective program to teach her letter sounds. After just a few sessions, she was blending her sounds and reading simple words. Most importantly, her confidence has grown. She wants to read and write on her own and is very proud of her work.
J’s birthday is September 5th, so he was unable to begin kindergarten at age 5. When J first began sessions with Gina, he recognized only upper case. He would guess words at first, instead of sounding them out. After 10 sessions with Gina J recognizes all lower case. He sounds out the words and is excited about knowing how to read.
