Initially a discussion about what the student is struggling with, their learning background, and an in-person assessment provides ample information to create a plan of action.
Session lengths depend on student needs and schedules. Generally, younger children do best with half an hour at a time, while those who are behind generally need up to an hour two to three times a week.
In addition to tutoring/providing lessons, I have helped parents set up curriculum and schedule I coach parents through their tasks as teachers and train kids how to be learners.
- An initial meeting in person or virtually to establish goals, complete a writing sample, and outline what the student will write.
- Connect writing through Google Docs or Word.
- Meet to discuss editing points.
- Revise and Review via online document sharing.
- Meet to conclude.
Tutoring can be in person or virtually using Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
Currently, sessions are conducted at local libraries and coffee shops.
Yes, for long-term writing projects and 3 months paid in full general sessions.
